About Madisen

Originally from the Minnesota, Madisen Dempsey is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Directing. While there, she has directed short staged readings as well as productions of Lanford Wilson’s “Thymus Vulgaris," and Adam Bock's "The Typographer's Dream." She has had the pleasure of assistant directing Paula Vogel's "The Long Christmas Ride Home" Strawdog Theater Company and Bertolt Brecht's "Fear and Misery in the Third Reich" with Haven Theater, both directed by Josh Sobel. She continues to perform onstage, most recently with Polarity Ensemble Theater and Lakeside Shakespeare Company. 
 

She has worked extensively with The Actor's Gymnasium, both administratively and training as an amateur aerialist.

 

Her freelance work includes marketing for Bittersweet Arts Co. during their time at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, ultimately earning them the Venue Pick award for outselling the other ten shows in their space.  Additionally, she is a freelance stage manager for groups like the Living Room Playwrights, music group Ensemble Galilei, and Okapi Theater company.
